Vincent Van Duysen's 'Living Box' is a reinterpretation of architecture on a smaller scale, transforming a monumental space into a piece of domestic furniture. This rectangular box, available in different sizes, challenges traditional conventions with its lack of doors and refined aesthetics. While the exterior features a surface decorated with marble and wood in geometric arrangements, the interior is distinguished by its contrasting materials. Surrounded by an iris and pewter frame, the 'Living Box' appears slim when viewed from above, but reveals itself to have a distinctly thick profile when viewed from the front, offering a striking fusion of form and function.
